Q: What is exploRUG?
A: exploRUG is an online sales tool for the custom rug business. It allows you to showcase your rug designs and allow buyers to customize colors and textures before placing an order. The designs can be viewed and customized in real size and laid in rooms. All renderings are instantaneous and realistic.
Q: Can I get a trial of the exploRUG?
A: Yes, you can run a trial of the program by clicking on launch exploRUG button on the homepage. The trial demonstrates standard features of the program but on our set of designs, colors and rooms. In the purchased version, you can upload your own designs, colors and rooms.
Q: I have an old computer, can I run exploRUG on it or what are the system requirements?

Q: Can I run exploRUG in a Mac?
A: Yes, but not natively. Since exploRUG requires the .NET Framework and Internet Explorer to run, you will need to run Windows in the Mac and run exploRUG on top of it. There are several ways this can be done. If your Mac has an Intel processor and the Leopard Operating System, Boot Camp (built in) supports installing and running Windows directly. If not, there is free software called Virtual Box (from Sun) which can host Windows in a Mac. Once you have Windows running on your Mac, installing and running exploRUG is straightforward.
We have another similar but completely web based product called exploRUG.com. It can run on any browser on any platform, including the Mac.
Q: Do you have a demo video of the software?

Q: Is there a place where I can see output samples generated from exploRUG?
A: To see actual output samples generated using exploRUG please visit http://explorug.net/renderings/. The software allows you to see the real size simulation after customization to see details of wool, loop, silk and other textures.
Q: Do I need to be online to use exploRUG?
A: The designs and rooms are served from the Internet, so you need to be connected. However, if you need to take exploRUG to a show or to a client's place where the Internet might not be available, you can log into exploRUG, click on all the design categories so that they are downloaded to your computer, and then hibernate the laptop before going to the show or client's place.
Q: Can I order exploRUG on a CD?
A: exploRUG can be downloaded and installed online. Since all the options are available online, we are not providing the software on CD.
Q: Can I run exploRUG on many computers?
A: With the multiple login account, many users can log in at the same time to access basic features of the application. This is meant to be distributed to many users so that they can view your designs, customize color and texture, view simulation of rug, and see the rug in room settings, and order it with customization details to your email address or save it on their computer for ordering later.
Q: Is Galaincha included with exploRUG?
A: exploRUG and Galaincha are different software and can be purchased independently.

Q: Are there instructions for using the program?
A: exploRUG has an intuitive interface designed for a wide range of users, and requires no prior computer expertise to use. But there are different kinds of documentation for exploRUG including demo video in flash and users guide available online.
